The D300S is a two-way Dolby Atmos and surround speaker — a compact sealed-box speaker for height and surround channels in a D300 home cinema. A 4" (100 mm) black woven Kevlar cone driver and a 1" (25 mm) soft-dome tweeter deliver the overhead and ambient effects that bring object-based surround to life.
Its closed-box design gives tight, controlled output, crossing over at 1.6 kHz across a 100 Hz – 20 kHz response up to a 98 dB peak SPL. Designed to sit atop front speakers firing upward for Atmos height effects, or to mount on walls as surrounds, it runs from a 4 Ω nominal impedance (8 Ω compatible, 3.3 Ω minimum) at 88 dB sensitivity, suiting amplifiers from 20 to 60 W.
