Heritage Collection

No loudspeaker manufacturer can claim a richer heritage than Wharfedale. Founded in 1932, the company’s legacy includes the invention of many technologies still commonplace in the speaker designs of today.

To the classic Denton and Linton models. Its wood-veneered cabinet has a vintage look, yet the standard of finish is distinctly contemporary.

To celebrate its history, Wharfedale has established the Heritage Series – recreations of famous models from its past, entirely re-engineered using contemporary techniques and materials. The range of Heritage speakers consists of the Denton 80, the Denton 85th Aniversary Edition and the latest instalment of the Linton.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Wharfedale Heritage Collection?

It's a range of modern recreations of classic Wharfedale designs — chiefly the Linton and Denton — re-engineered with contemporary materials while keeping the vintage wood-veneer look and warm, musical sound.

Do the Linton and Denton come with stands?

The Dovedale, Aston and Linton have dedicated matching stands that complete the look and set the ideal height. The Denton is a compact standmount that suits stands or a solid shelf.

What amplifier suits Heritage speakers?

They're efficient and easy to drive, which makes them a great match for valve (tube) amps and warm integrated amplifiers. Around 30–80 watts per channel of quality power is ideal.

Are Heritage speakers good for vinyl?

Very much so. Their relaxed, warm and room-filling presentation suits records and acoustic music, rewarding long listening sessions.

What finishes are available?

Heritage models are hand-finished in genuine wood veneers such as walnut, blackwood and mahogany, designed to be displayed as part of the room rather than hidden away.

Is my Wharfedale Heritage purchase covered by warranty in Australia?

Yes. As the authorised Australian distributor, AVR provides a genuine local warranty on all Wharfedale speakers. See our warranty terms for details.
