Denton 85th Heritage Loudspeakers

The Denton 85th Heritage is a two-way standmount loudspeaker — a compact British classic celebrating 85 years of Wharfedale, with a real-wood veneer cabinet and retro styling. A 6.5" (165 mm) woven Kevlar cone bass/mid driver and a 1" (25 mm) soft-dome tweeter deliver a warm, full-bodied sound.

A vented-box 13.5 L cabinet crossing over at 3.1 kHz gives the Denton a 45 Hz – 20 kHz response and a 95 dB peak SPL, pairing vintage looks and a cloth grille with modern Kevlar driver technology. At 88 dB sensitivity and a 4 Ω nominal impedance (3.8 Ω minimum), it suits amplifiers from 20 to 120 W.

It is the compact classic of the Heritage Collection, alongside the larger three-way Linton. See all our bookshelf speakers.

Wharfedale Australia is the official, AVR-authorised distributor — every Denton 85th Heritage is backed by genuine Australian warranty and local support.

The way you liked it then. The way you want it now.

Like classic rock, vinyl records and valve amplification, sometimes you get it right the first time ‘round. And so Wharfedale proudly introduce the Denton 85th Anniversary Edition two-way bookshelf loudspeaker, a reimagining of one of our most famous and popular loudspeakers to date. A mixture of traditional and advanced technologies offer warm, rich and natural characteristics while delivering further detail and dynamics. And the sound? Well, it’s the way it was then combined with what you like now. This is a veritable modern classic.
