The Diamond 12.1 is a compact two-way bookshelf speaker for small to medium rooms — ideal as a stereo pair on stands or shelves, or as part of a Diamond 12 home cinema system. A 130 mm (5") woven-cone bass/mid driver paired with a 25 mm textile-dome tweeter gives it a bigger, warmer sound than its modest footprint suggests.
A bass-reflex cabinet tuned to 60 Hz and a 2.6 kHz crossover keep the 12.1 even and natural across a 65 Hz – 20 kHz response. At 88 dB sensitivity and 8 Ω (4 Ω minimum), it drives easily from amplifiers of 20–100 W.
Sitting one step up from the 12.0 in the Diamond 12 Series, the 12.1 trades a little compactness for deeper bass and more headroom. Compare it with the larger 12.2 or the rest of our bookshelf speakers.
